Notebook-
Had I been the one atop the ferris wheel that day,
Would that mean your love would be mine someday.
We'd watch the gulls soar through the air,
The gentle wind blowing through your hair.
As I glance to your eyes you're staring back at me,
There is something more to me you can see.
We are separated by a fate not of our choice,
I now long for that warmth of your voice.
I wrote to you everyday since,
Without a reply my heart turns to mince.
I've built that house that we dreamed of,
Hoping you'd come back to me my love.
You've found someone and so have I,
Nothing feels the same as before but why.
I see your face after all these years,
Our day together ends in tears.
It was not over for me or you,
We still loved each other like lovers do.
As lay next to you I watch you go and,
Together our story ends hand to hand.
