Shattered and broken

Should've saw this coming,
I was too happy,
and happiness and I never get along,
never will.
I'm just not cut out for any of this.

Maybe this is my sign,
To return to be alone,
And never trust anyone again,
at least not how I trusted you.

I thought you were the one,
The one to stand by me,
through my darkest day.
Not to leave me broken and shattered again.
Now I know why I got used to being numb,
It's better than pain.
