The Ballads of Him-
Maybe not now but someday you'll see,
That man in your dreams has always been me.
The shadow that has been in your mirror,
Is not the thing that you should fear.
Acceptance for all your flaws,
Words of lost trust escape your jaws.
My confession may have came too soon,
Surely the overwhelming beauty made me swoon.
Cannot deny for what I've done,
I only felt as if you were the one.
Don't look back in anger,
I must pay for my clanger.
I wish I could try again,
Pray that to God, amen.
Make you see that this is not me,
And show you for what I could be.
Yet for now I can only step back and observe,
And watch as it drives me to my last nerve.
